Dr. P. John Hart, Dept. of Biochemistry,
was presented with the Ewing Halsell Endowed Professorship in front of
the President's Council, November 8, 2006. This is a combined effort
from the Ewing Halsell Foundation and the UTHSCSA President's Council endowment
fund, in recognition of the stellar scientific achievements that Dr. Hart
has made in steps towards understanding ALS. It is also the first endowed
chair funded in collaboration between the President's Council fund and
a private foundation.
